This week, we will continue our standardized assessments called the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS). The schedule is as follows:
- Monday, April 13th-Friday, April 17th: 3rd grade and 5th grade English language arts and math and 5th grade science
- Tuesday, April 14th-Thursday, April 16th: 4th grade English language arts and math
Your child’s attendance at school on these testing days is essential! Please do not schedule any appointments during these days if possible. See the attached flyer for more information on how you can help us during testing, and thank you for your support. Contact your child’s teacher, Mr. O, Mrs. Keyes, or Mr. Chesser with any questions.

Last chance to sign up! The CPA’s Got Talent Show auditions are coming up on Friday, April 17th from 3:30-6:00 in the music room. Students must sign up for an audition time HERE. Any student who is selected for the talent show must participate in the mandatory dress rehearsal on Monday, May 4th at 4:00. The CPA’s Got Talent Show will be on Thursday, May 7th from 1:30-2:30 in the CPA gym. Contact Mr. Garza with any questions.
CPA is celebrating the upcoming World Cup with a school-wide challenge. All grades K-8 will have soccer matches, and the winners will challenge the next closest grade. Games will start on Wednesday, April 22nd. Take a look at the schedule on the CPA website, and contact Mr. Varner with any questions!
Volunteers needed! Our Spring band performance is just around the corner, and we are looking for six volunteers to help with ticket and nacho sales. We are seeking volunteers from the CPA community (non band parents), so that our current band families can watch their students shine! If your child is curious about band, this is the perfect low-pressure way to see Mr. Garza and our middle schoolers in action! The concert is on Tuesday, May 5th, and we will need help from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Click HERE to sign up to help!
The Denver Nuggets are in the playoffs and will play their first game this Saturday! To support our hometown team, students are welcome to wear a Denver Nuggets shirt or jersey to school on Friday. Jeans are allowed for those who purchased jeans for the year. Go Nuggets!

Esta semana continuaremos con nuestras evaluaciones estandarizadas denominadas Medidas de Éxito Académico de Colorado (CMAS). El calendario es el siguiente:

Del lunes 13 al viernes 17 de abril: Lingua e literatura inglesa y matemáticas de 3.º y 5.º grado, y ciencias de 5.º grado.

¡La asistencia de su hijo/a a la escuela durante estos días de exámenes es fundamental! Si es posible, por favor no programe ninguna cita durante estos días. ¡Última oportunidad para inscribirse! Las audiciones para el concurso de talentos de CPA se llevarán a cabo el viernes 17 de abril de 3:30 a 6:00 p. m. en el salón de música. Los estudiantes deben inscribirse para una audición. AQUÍ Todo estudiante seleccionado para el concurso de talentos deberá participar en el ensayo general obligatorio el lunes 4 de mayo a las 16:00. El concurso de talentos de CPA se llevará a cabo el jueves 7 de mayo de 13:30 a 14:30 en el gimnasio de CPA. Para cualquier consulta, comuníquese con el Sr. Garza.
CPA celebra la próxima Copa Mundial con un desafío para toda la escuela. Todos los grados, desde kínder hasta octavo, jugarán partidos de fútbol, y los ganadores jugarán contra el siguiente grado con mejor desempeño. ¡Se necesitan voluntarios! Nuestra presentación de primavera está a la vuelta de la esquina y buscamos seis voluntarios para ayudar con la venta de boletos y nachos. Buscamos voluntarios de la comunidad de CPA (padres que no pertenecen a la banda) para que las familias de nuestros estudiantes puedan verlos brillar.
